today's psycology lecture

    Today's psycology leature was about recognition. The way human recognize things ,such as images, sounds and literature. Almost of examples are visual illusion. But some of them were interesting for me.
    One of them is the factor of "gestalt". This is our tendency of grouping what we see. For example, when we saw a paper marked a lot of dots, we tend to regard some of them which are exsist closely as one group. We also see some of conbination of lines as a design. 
    In visual illusins, there are different kinds of patterns ,like ambiguous figure, shape consistency and blinyness consistency. Among these patterns, I was most impressed with the relation about facial expression and context. I saw a drawing. There are two men, the one is fleeing from the other and another is chasing the one. To be funny, the men face are the same. But I feel that the one is fleeing face and the other is chasing. I was surprise at that we change the way of see things by read the context.
    I was also interested at the relation between color and literature. We can distinguish colors of panel with the name of colors themselves. But we cannot distinguish that if the name was wrong, for example, there is a red panel with the name "green". I thought this phenomena is distinctive for creature who can learn language.
    I want to deepen the understanding about recognition by myself. There must be more mysterious and interesting featueres with us.

           There are two children in a boat made of cardbord in a pool. The one girl looks dissapointed, but the other girl is smailing. They are paticipating in a competition.          The cardbord boat was made by them. It has a roof and a flag made of cardbord. It also have colorful decoration with color tapes. The boat surprisingly floats them on the water. But their boat are so late compared with other boats. psycology lecture 10/26

           Today's psycology lecture was about boubakiki effect and human memory. Boubakiki effect was general in the almost of all languages, and interesting. Memory has several parts and aspects.          Boubakiki effect was relation between figure and orditory. There is a very famous experiment. There are two figure. One has many needles like sea urchin and the other is like clouds. If you bring them name Bouba or Kiki, which do you choice? many people will name the former kiki and the latter bouba. This tendency is present all over the world. Human tends to connect "K and  T" with "needle and solid" and connect "O and A" with circle and orbitat.  i remembered last Therdsday physics lecture. that was impressive for me.i learned physics when i was a highschool student, but the lecture tought what i learned was lack for significant concept.           that lecture took the first step by defining "what is energy." the word "energy" is a common word for us, but we cannot explain this word. this difficulty was what i could not learn in the past. the definition of "energy" is "the capability of the working toward the thig."       as soon as we decide this, the new question emerged. that was "what is working?" this also seemed to be difficult. but i learned this, "working is power * distance." i,however, noticed that i do not know "what is power?"     through these questioning, i restarted learning physics.
